Minimums

Minimums

Every guest should arrive meeting these basics.

  • 18 years of age, or traveling with a parent or documented parental consent.
  • Experienced with rope climbing, at minimum in an indoor gym setting.
  • Has reviewed the gear checklist and can bring the minimum required items.
  • If you are unsure if you meet the requirements, feel free to contact us.

Ideal

Ideal

This is the profile that tends to fit the retreat best.

  • Has climbed outdoors at around 5.10 or above.
  • Can bring a personal 80m rope in the 9.2-9.5mm range and is willing to share it with another climber.
  • Has a personal Ohm, belay device, or other outdoor climbing gear they prefer to bring.
  • Is booking as a pair of climbers who both match the ideal experience level.

8 Day Peru Climbing Retreat

This itinerary is subject to change due to the availability in Pitumarca and the weather.

Day 1

Arrive in Cusco / Guided city walk / Welcome dinner

Arrive in Cusco, our drivers will pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel. Settle in and join us for a guided walking tour of the city. End the evening by joining us for a welcome meal at a local restaurant!

Day 2

Transport 4h to Pitumarca

Meet your climbing guide on arrival in Pitumarca.

Day 3

PM / Climbing

Go on rest day excursions with our multi-lingual guides or keep climbing!

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend travel insurance with trip interruption and medical coverage before departure.

Do I need international mountain rescue insurance?

We require you to have international mountain rescue insurance. If you already have coverage please send us a copy. If not then you may purchase it here.
